Welcome to our Total Learning Experience

Total Learning Journey

How often have you returned from a workplace development programme having enjoyed the experience but not applied the lessons that you learned?  This happens quite frequently and when it does neither you nor the organization benefits. Preparing the workforce for the future involves the development of its people collectively as well as individually.  The purpose, vision and values are promoted by most organisations, mainly in glossy posters pinned across the wall of your offices and workplaces.  How often is your development specifically aligned to the organisation’s needs as well as yours?  Most important, when the learning is evaluated, does it take account of what you deliver or produce for the benefit of your organisation or its customers or clients?

Our approach to learning is different.  We promote total learning and focus just as much on your potential achievements at work or for your project as well as your individual understanding of the topics.

Levels and Phases of Cohesive Learning

There are four levels and four phases for cohesive learning. Together, these levels and phases represent the foundations for building capacity and capabilities across institutions and with individuals.

Capacity

The institutional ability to produce or deliver to its potential maximum; ‘full capacity’.

Levels of learning inevitably start with the individual learner. This begins with a focus on ‘self’. Cohesive learning and development then take place collaboratively with teams, the organisation and their networks. Teams build collective capacity through shared understanding and coordinated action, creating a foundation for organisational coherence. At the network level, capacity is amplified through strategic partnerships, knowledge exchange, and collaborative innovation beyond institutional boundaries.

Capabilities

Capability refers to the quality of being open and prepared to act in the achievement of potential outcomes.

We focus on building the depth and breadth of capabilities based on four phases of workplace development which align with the four levels of capacity (self, team, organisation and networks). Phase one concentrates on the development of skills and phase two on creating the right abilities. Phases three and four further both individual and  institutional development by increasing knowledge and drawing on experience which people acquire through workplace activities.

Global Learning

In developing global learners we promote the development of strong self-evaluation and self-criticism, an openness to wide-ranging ideas and concepts, and distinguish bias from truth. We draw and share knowledge from sources outside of a learner’s home country, and apply this without national or regional bias.

Blended Learning

We help you to find your learning space and discover what you both need and want to learn. This will then support you in developing your leadership skills.

Applied Learning

We help you connect knowledge to practice by applying learning in real-world contexts. Through active engagement, reflection, and feedback, you will develop the confidence to lead, adapt, and innovate in complex and evolving environments.
